IHAS Injectable Cosmetic Treatment Providers Quality Assurance Mark:
The Independent Healthcare Advisory Services (IHAS) is responsible for administering the Cosmetic Treatments Quality Assurance Mark through CHKS via the “treatmentsyoucantrust” website.
The scheme goes live in May 2010 and includes medical and dental practitioners and registered nurses who provide injectable cosmetic treatments such as BOTOX®, Dysport™, VISTABEL®, Restylane® and other dermal filler products.
The new Quality Assurance Mark (shown above) provides reassurance to members of the public that service providers are qualified, operating to an approved standard and have appropriate training, facilities and equipment to enable them to provide a safe and effective service.
The IHAS Quality Assurance Mark is backed by the professional regulators (General Medical Council, General Dental Council and Nursing and Midwifery Council) to enhance the protection of patients. Also the insurance and indemnity organisations are offering support in the form of favourable terms to IHAS registered providers.
